read and comment along with me, I’m starting on the build thread now.
the “build threads” link:
http://www.build-threads.com/build-threads/…
the link to the actual build thread:
http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/144316/…
based on this image, I suspect this will be a build where I respect the work, but don’t love the outcome

that is one VERY cramped working space. an older project already hidden up the back, the mini shell up on a rickety frame, and the miata jammed underneath
looks like most of the work is done outside this tiny storage space

Egads. That is quite cramped, indeed. Now I feel like a loser for not wanting to work on my CRX in my single-bay.

Ooh. I like that very much. Tiny RWD shooting brake? Yes.

Have you seen this gem:

Too bad it ends on a cliffhanger.

I have. it is SO close, I can’t imagine it didn’t get finished, shame the thread isn’t updated.

Pah, should have tried a bit harder and widened the Mini to reduce the ridiculous arch extensions:

he did widen it by 110mm I believe. but agreed, the fender flares are enormous and throw the proportions all out

I agree. I would have rather seen it remain stock looking. (the clubman)

a clubman was once upon a time my dream car. only lack of availability prevented me owning one. In my late teens I test drove several completely rotten examples, and could simply not find one worth exchanging actual money for. a stock look with miata drivetrain would have been epic!
have you seen project binky? a mini with the 4wd drivetrain from a celica?

not yet complete, but looking like some wider wheel wells will be employed. but otherwise it has a very stock look, with incredible workmanship.
